We look at the property
Sun, drainage, soil, what's already there and what you want gone. Bring photos if it's easier — or we'll come out.
Most landscapers buy their plants somewhere else. We walk out the back door. Myers Landscape Nursery is a working nursery and a full landscape crew in the same place — forty years of landscaping and landscape maintenance services, on the north side of U.S. Highway 6 just outside Syracuse, Indiana.
That means the shrub in your estimate is a shrub we can show you. It means we know what's actually thriving in northern Indiana this season, not what a catalog says should be. And it means the person who designed your bed is likely to be the person pruning it three years from now.
A landscape isn't finished the day it's planted. Here's how a job usually goes.
Sun, drainage, soil, what's already there and what you want gone. Bring photos if it's easier — or we'll come out.
A plant list and an estimate you can actually read, with substitutions we'd suggest and roughly when we can get to it.
Pruning, transplanting and bed care on whatever schedule fits. Fall is nearly fool-proof for moving things that outgrew their spot.
Thanks to artist Michael Branson, the adventures of Myers Landscape Nursery have been 'toonified in the comic strip Down To Earth. See more on our Facebook page or on our photos page.
Full and part time. We're looking for open, motivated individuals who would enjoy learning new skills, plant care, and working outside. We work in all outdoor weather conditions.
