Our Story

Step in for a meal —
step back into 1903.

When you walk through our doors you also step into the past. Built in 1903 by the Huelsbeck family as an elegant cocktail lounge, On The Clock still wears the glory of an earlier era: original leaded glass, a stained-glass "H" on the door, and a magnificent South American gumwood bar — untouched to this day.

Owner Robert Krause has kept the bar running since 1978, blending that old-world warmth with modern comforts. Every sauce and soup is made from scratch with Mama Krause's recipes, alongside half-pound burgers, hand-built pizzas, and a deep bench of craft beers and martinis.
