We collect used eyeglasses, hearing aids and other technical devices so they can be refurbished and given to people in need around the world.

Behind every Wales-Genesee Lions fundraiser is a purpose. These are the causes and commitments our volunteers show up for all year long — from collecting eyeglasses to ringing bells at Christmas — and the fundraisers that make them possible.
Service & giving
Helping our neighbors — near and far
Some of our work stays right here in Genesee Depot; some reaches across Wisconsin and the world. All of it starts with neighbors lending a hand.
Eye Donor Transportation
Our members stand ready to drive donated eye tissue where it's needed — a quiet, urgent way the gift of sight is passed on.
Leader Dog Sponsorship
We support the raising and training of dogs that become trusted guides for people who are blind or visually impaired.
Wisconsin Lions Camp
We help send children and adults with disabilities to Lions Camp for a summer experience built just for them — at no cost to their families.
Food for Local Pantries
Throughout the year we collect food and funds for area pantries so that no neighbor in our community goes hungry.
Christmas for Adopted Families
Each Christmas we adopt local families and make sure they have gifts under the tree and a holiday to remember.
Salvation Army Bell Ringing
Lions volunteers brave the cold to ring the bells and raise funds for the Salvation Army's work in our community.
Boy Scout Troop Support
We back our local Boy Scout troop, investing in the leadership, character and service of the next generation.
Sportsman Committee
Our sportsman committee lends a hand with outdoor and sporting events that bring neighbors together and give back.

Game Feed Fundraiser
A community favorite and one of our biggest fundraisers of the year — proceeds fuel the service projects we take on all year long.
Cancer Fundraiser at Wern Valley
An annual gathering at Wern Valley that brings neighbors together to raise funds for the fight against cancer.
Our pancake breakfasts, dart ball, softball concessions, hall rentals and the new 2026 car show round out the calendar.
